AV REPORTER

The digital revolution marches on and so does AgriVisual.

This new addition to our product range is designed to meet the needs of electronic news gathering in the field of high-quality material for radio and TV. Ministries of Information, Health and Agriculture are requesting these upgraded units, designed to produce programmes, ready for broadcast on their national stations.

AV REPORTER has all the functionality of AV DRUM 21, plus high definition video and audio recording, digital photo shooting and on-location editing.

All those activities that once required a purpose built studio can now be done almost anywhere. An event deep in the rural areas can be recorded, prepared for broadcast and sent back to base within a matter of minutes using a satellite internet connection. TV and radio packages can be fully prepared on location and sent ready for broadcast over the internet or posted directly to websites. News stories can be filed along with hi-resolution photos.

AV REPORTER is a major advance in product design specifically to meet the needs of the Ministries of Information, Health and Agriculture, who wish to utilise the wonders of the digital age to maximise their ability to communicate with their people in the rural and peri-urban areas.

AV REPORTER is built into the appropriate vehicle for your needs, such as Land Rover, Ford Everest, Toyota Land Cruiser or Nissan Patrol. All the capabilities of AV DRUM 21 are included as follows:

FRONT COMPARTMENT

  • Car radio/CD Player with SD/MMC memory card reader and USB MP3 interface
  • 10watt, 12volt power amplifier for public address on the move
  • Fire extinguisher

This equipment enables the driver/announcer to play pre-recorded CDs and audio files while AV REPORTER is stationary or on the move. The audio files can be stored on SD/MMC or Flash Card devices and played over the sound system. The equipment allows the announcer to cut into the audio programmes or the radio and speak live to the audience.

This front compartment equipment is typically used to attract attention and encourage an audience to gather for the major presentation.

REAR COMPARTMENT
Equipment Platform:

A rugged construction comprising a facility mounting platform on shock absorbers which is raised off the floor of the vehicle to protect the equipment in the most hostile conditions.

The platform includes a fully protected wiring loom with RCD-based electrical consumer unit for maximum protection of equipment and operators.

Equipment:

  • 150 watt, 250volt flood lamp stored on platform which can also be used for both recording and presentation events
  • Input socket for generator supply cable
  • Fully protected 60watt peak horn speakers x 2 for maximum sound performance and durability.
  • TV Antenna.

Audio Flight Cabinet:

  • Increased audio performance with the new Power amplifier 200 watt, plus a separate 8 channel sound mixer for improved quality and versatility. The cabinet is secured to the platform with external sockets for the TV monitor and DVD/Recorder/ Player and camera. A permanent conduit protected loom to the roof speakers carries the audio messages.

Projector Stand

  • Window mounted video projector stand. This is fully adjustable for height and angle of projection

The video projector is easily set up on the window mounted platform and is used to project an image onto a 180cm x 240cm external screen for large groups. The flat screen TV monitor is suitable for daylight viewing; the external screen is intended for night-time use. Sound is relayed through heavy-duty speakers on the roof rack and the tripod mounted cabinet speakers for improved quality.

The AV REPORTER includes a digital video camera recording directly onto a hard disc for capturing content in the field and for encouraging audience participation and interaction during set-up before broadcast. Microphones, tripod and all cables are included.
