AgriVisual HQ in Eversley can be an extremely busy place at times, so an extra pair of hands is always welcome. Alex has taken a break from his studies at a local school, to gain some valuable experience in business. During his two weeks with us, he will be learning more about day to day life in a busy office, as well as gaining an understanding of some of the great work being done in Africa, to alleviate the Poverty of Information.

AV DRUM 21 unit departs for Angola
Many years ago AgriVisual supplied 50 units to Angola. In the last two decades business in Angola has been limited. Recently we have decided to relaunch our presence in Angola and have formed a joint venture with AES in the UK and UNIAO in Luanda. AgriVisual and AES are sending a demonstration AV DRUM 21 unit to Luanda for a presentation to the mainline Ministries.

National AIDS Commission, Malawi
AgriVisual were recently awarded the contract to supply the National AIDS Commission (NAC) with audio visual equipment mounted on the Land Rover chassis. The 5 x AV DRUM 21 units are now completed and ready to be shipped to Malawi.

AV DRUM 21 units depart for A.E.P.B, Nigeria
AgriVisual are pleased to announce the despatch of AV DRUM 21 units, built on the Land Rover chassis, for the Abuja Environmental Protection Board (A.E.P.B). These units will be used to increase awareness, on how important it is to protect the environment and to keep Abuja clean and tidy.

Ministry of Health & Social Welfare, Tanzania
AgriVisual supplied 21 x Toyota Land Cruisers to the Ministry of Health & Social Welfare in Tanzania. The Permanent Secretary, Mr C E Simba, confirmed that the vehicles arrived in good order and thanked AgriVisual for their attention to detail throughout the process.

AV CHANNEL 21
AV CHANNEL 21 is now established in Zambia, Malawi & Nigeria. The Ministry of Food & Agriculture in Ghana have also recently signed up to the programme. AV CHANNEL 21 is provided free of charge by AgriVisual as part of our contribution to the fight against the Poverty of Information in Africa.

AV DRUM 21 units arrive in Ghana
The 20 x AV DRUM 21 units have arrived in Ghana for the Ministry of Food & Agriculture (MOFA). These units are being used to improve the extension delivery coverage to the farming communities, by providing them with access to agricultural extension messages and technologies to adopt in their farming activities.

AgriVisual Senior Consultant, Mark Jeffery visited Ghana to undertake a training programme for the operators of the AV DRUM 21 units, for the Ministry of Food & Agriculture. Mark also launched a photograph competition for the team of AV DRUM 21 operators.

AgriVisual DVD Competition - Zambia
AgriVisual launched a DVD competition in Zambia, for the operators of the AV ANNOUNCER units. The competition was very successful. The 1st prize was awarded to Penelope Chansa and her team from the Ndola District, who produced the most informative DVD, showing their work in the front line of Behaviour Change Communication.

Vehicle Construction in Zambia for NAIS
The AgriVisual Team recently worked at CFAO Zambia, to build a fleet of 10 AV ANNOUNCERS for the National Agriculture Information Service (NAIS). The assembly of the vehicles was completed with the help of Edith Kaluba, Mailes Sakala, Gregory Chikanwa, Essau Chilupe and Nicholas Mwambazi. The 10 AV ANNOUNCERS will strengthen information collection and dissemination to the farming community in Zambia.

AV DRUM 21 Operator Training in Nigeria
Mark Jeffery, our Senior Consultant recently visited Abuja, Nigeria to undertake an intensive training programme for 50 operators of AV DRUM 21 units, for the Avian Influenza Project. It is reassuring to note that Nigeria is vigilant, in monitoring the health of birds on their North South flights.

AV DRUM 21 units depart for the Cotton Board, Tanzania
The latest innovation for the AV DRUM 21 is the inclusion of the roof mounted box for the screen frame and the tripods. These vehicles are going to the Cotton Board in Tanzania, together with a consignment of Toyota Land Cruisers.

AV CHANNEL 21 LAUNCH
The first showing of the AV CHANNEL 21 Pilot took place at Kampekete Basic School in Chongwe District, Zambia. The Zambian News and Information Service provided the service using AV DRUM 21 and attracted an enthusiastic audience of over 500 people from the surrounding villages.

The Minister of Information and Broadcasting, the Hon.Leut.Gen. Ronnie Shipapwasha, officially launched the AV CHANNEL 21 video magazine to mark the occasion of AgriVisuals recent visit to Lusaka, Zambia. The event was broadcast by the Zambia Broadcasting Corporation and the AV CHANNEL 21 pilot is being used by rural communities.

The video magazine AV CHANNEL 21 was introduced to East Africa through a series of ministerial meetings in Malawi. The representatives from many of the Ministries, including Information, Health and Education, resolved to work together to initiate locally produced messages, for the AV CHANNEL 21 launch in each participating country.

The first completed AV DRUM 21 units mounted on the Ford Everest, roll off the production line for the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MOFA) in Ghana. The Ford Everest provides an opportunity for a less expensive 4 wheel drive unit suitable for our African customers.
