Eritrea HIV/AIDS/Malaria/TB
A fleet of seven mobile units are helping in the battle against Eritrea's most deadly diseases - HIV/AIDS, Malaria and TB.
The population in the rural parts of the country need convincing that these diseases can be prevented. The AV DRUM 21 mobiles are ideal for getting life-saving messages to parts of the country not reached by conventional means - newspapers, radio or TV.
The mobile units are being used by different government organisations in Eritrea. These include the Ministry of Health, the National Eritrea Woman's Union and the National Union of Youth and Students.
The participating organisations have devised their own programmes of events to tackle the diseases. For example, the Eritrean Socal Marketing Group is using its mobile units in a series of presentations that promote the use of condoms as a method of preventing the spread of HIV/AIDS.
